— A Founding Principle of Havoc Movement

Havoc Movement is a production company based out of Atlanta, GA that aims to create compelling and unique performances. With decades of combined experience in stunt, circus, and stage combat performance, Havoc brings a gripping approach to storytelling for the stage and screen.

In June 2018, the company debuted their inaugural work, Just Another Play About Rainbows. The show portrayed co-founder Kristen Noonan as Shmoopy Lou, the Rainbow Rippper, as she punched color back into the world. Directed by co-founder Jake Guinn, it was an epic fight show that incorporated color theory, dance, aerial silks, and puppetry to create a whole new universe. This was the debut work of the brother-sister team, The Guinn Twins, Darby and Jake Guinn, and its remount brought the Party People to Windmill Arts in East Point, GA in July 2023. This was the first Havoc show to incorporate projection design and marked their return to Atlanta post-pandemic.

While a whole year of original work was sidelined by the COVID-19 pandemic, Havoc came alive again in October 2021 with Dracula: The Failings of Men, an action-horror reimagining of Bram Stoker’s work, written by Havoc company member Benedetto Robinson. Performed at Mountainside Theatre in Cherokee, NC in 2021 and 2022, Havoc brought their signature high-level fight choreography and aerial work to the stage with plenty of blood. Havoc brings their iconic monster to Atlanta Shakespeare Tavern in October 2023.

Havoc’s first foray into film production was in 2021 in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; it was dubbed The Go Safely Project. This three-episode story was meant to inform the conversations people have around vaccine hesitancy. The project focused on three main ideas: vaccines give you armor; misinformation is a monster; and we’re all in this together. Havoc attacked this project with the same humor, creativity, and commitment to quality research that has influenced all their work. To watch all three episodes, visit www.thegosafelyproject.com.

With its company of colorful characters, Havoc not only produces original works but grows their community with stage combat classes using the standards outlined by the Society of American Fight Directors.  On stage and off, Havoc Movement is committed to fostering original, high-action work with heart. Humor is a powerful tool to explore new ideas, so it’s woven into everything they train and create.
